Our courses aim to give participants a deepened understanding of how innovations of both technical and social character are created. The course deals with design and development of both new products (goods and services) and new processes (technological and organizational), with a particular focus on methods, tools and strategies for the early phases of the innovation process. The courses aim to develop the participants’ innovative capability from an integrated innovation perspective, where course participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience of e.g. needs and requirements analysis, trend and opportunity analysis, business and value modelling, and concept and prototype generation.
Trough needs-motivated projects anchored in business and society, course participants will work in teams to create conceptual solution proposals and evaluate these with respect to feasibility from a technical perspective, desirability from a user perspective and viability from a business perspective.
